The Client:
Brace Canyon Park, located in the Burbank North Estates Neighborhood, is home to many recreational tournaments. The park, which was initially opened in 1955, attracts residents of all ages. With the two baseball fields and a children’s playground, the park entertains both young children and athletes alike. The swirled pathways that surround the sports fields and run throughout the park allow residents to go for a nice shaded stroll uphill.
The Project:
Pierre Landscape Companies partnered with AHBE Landscape Architect and the City of Burbank for this site improvement project. Driving up the hills in Burbank, CA, Pierre workers were guaranteed a good workout on this jobsite.
The extravagantly large park which resides on the hilltop of Haven Way is now decorated with over 6,000 shrubs that vary in size thanks to the Pierre team. On site you can expect to see over 1,300 1 gallon Muhlenbergia Capillaris strategically placed on the premises. The airy plumes of feathery reddish flowers that rise from the shrubs are surely to compliment the serenity of the park in its entirety. The improvement project also included 107,000 square feet of hydroseeding with Wildflower Meadow Mix, over 1,800 linear feet of Pineapple Cobble, and 36,000 square feet of Mulch.
An irrigation system was also installed to the lawn and hydroseesded areas, as well above grade on slopes and surrounding shrubs. Trench repair on the recreation fields were also successfully completed.
The Result:
Brace Canyon Park has a freshly renovated recreation field, where Burbank residents can now proudly host baseball and softball tournaments. With the successful installation from the Pierre team, local residents can enjoy the hillside park and all it has to offer.
