Pierre Partners with Marymount High School to Conserve Water and Save Money
October 1, 2011
Los Angeles, California - Partnered with Pierre, Marymount High School saves approximately 50% of their installation costs on an upgraded irrigation system, which in the future is expected to consistently lower their monthly water consumption by nearly 30%.
Pierre installed seven weather-based irrigation controllers and 311 rotating nozzles for Marymount's complete water conservation retrofit which qualified for a rebate incentive program through the Metropolitan Water District. With the rebate included, Marymount High School is expected to make up their entire installation cost in a little over a year.
Pierre's experienced water conservation team administered the entire rebate process, including submission of all the necessary paperwork. Through the implementation of the water conservation program, Pierre has been successful in saving customers a high percentage rate of their water consumption on a regular basis by changing existing irrigation controllers to weather based irrigation controllers, and retrofitting spray head applications to highly efficient nozzling systems.
The Metropolitan Water District and other municipalities currently offer substantial reimbursements for property owners and managers to upgrade and save water with the state of the art irrigation technology with little to no net expense (including labor and material). Rebates apply for clients that have a large irrigation system with needed upgrade irrigation timers and installation of more efficient irrigation heads.
With the assistance of Pierre and the Metropolitan Water District, Marymount High School is now saving water, money, and the environment.
